We hope you are well. My partner Sean and I are getting married at Gorse Hill Hotel on 27 June 2020 at 1pm. We met you at their open day earlier this year and are just touching base re pricing and availability.

Firstly, do you have any availability on this date? We were hoping to book for the ceremony and reception - we remember you mentioning that you would play music for the ceremony and then during the wedding breakfast. Is this correct? How long are you available for on the day? Also, can you confirm what your price would be. We are hoping for a mix of music, we like a bit of everything from Queen to Oasis to classical music and probably a bit of everything else in between, so no one particular genre of music.

Hi Lance

It was lovely to meet you again last night at HT. Rob and I would love to book you (although we know it can’t be you sadly!) for our wedding on the 9^th April 2020 at Horsley Towers. The wedding ceremony starts at 2pm and we would like the pianist to play during the ceremony, in between the ceremony and reception and the reception itself.

We will be getting married in the Sopworth Room and the reception and evening disco will be in the Grand Hall.

Not sure what else you need from us at this stage but please just let us know.

With regards to songs we will definitely want the pianist to be able to play Metallica ‘Nothing Else Matters’ and Ellie Golding ‘How long will I love you’ aside from that classic rock tunes and then a general mix of upbeat tunes. We’ll probably be able to provide a more comprehensive song list further down the line.

Hi Daljeet - thank you for your email. I am still free on 14th December this year. The fee is £295 and a £95 deposit secures the booking. The balance can be paid on or before the wedding date.

Music wise, you can have pretty much anything you like - the only legal restriction is no religious music during the ceremony but apart from that, anything goes. I have a huge repertoire and if it is playable on the piano, you can have it.

The piano and any necessary equipment is provided and there are no extra costs. No refreshments are required either.

We spoke to L a while ago and he played us Bruno Mars Marry You which we really enjoyed and thought may be good for the entrance music? Could you please let us know any other options which you think may be good?

We have no idea for signing music - could we please have some ideas? 

For the departure, possibly I Love You Baby Cant Take my Eyes off of You? In a more upbeat version? We would love some more ideas please.

Hi Joanna,

Karen is on holiday this week – so you are stuck with me I’m afraid.

If you need to submit the checklist, you can leave any of the music bits blank – that whole thing has been considerably relaxed. Certainly Marry You and Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You will be fine. You won’t really be aware of the music during the Signing because you will be busy doing the legal bits and having pictures taken so I can just play some gentle background music if you wish?

Jodie has suggested our exit song be nobody does it better played by yourself on the piano with no lyrics. This is because I’m a huge James Bond fan and she likes the piano music in the song?

I believe we’ve booked yourself for our wedding through kingswood on 29th September. 

I’d like to know if there are any bits of information that you’d like to know other than what I’ve listed below:

Ceremony time: 2:00pm

Aisle walk song: Ellie Goulding - love me like you do (acoustic) 

We would like you to play ideally from 1:30pm as guests should be arriving and we would like a mixture of music of modern and older we are both big Michael buble fans so you can’t go wrong with those. Kingswood have advised that you can play the ceremony song through Sonos as jodie is wanting the actual song in acoustic for the aisle walk but after that we would like you to play the same song on piano for register signing then your free to play as you wish for reception until end of dinner at around 5:30/6pm as the DJ will take over from here with evening entertainment. 

We do have Paul Mitchell as master of ceremonies and I’m sure you’ll know him as he’s another  recommended person so I’m sure you can work together for the day.

31 August 2018 Public Liability Docs

I am the coordinator for the Wedding of Beverley Smith and Ben Chambers on 31 August 2018.  We ask all contractors to complete a Health & Safety Form and provide us with a copy of their public liability Insurance which we require before you carry out any work at Wiston House.  As the form is generic you may find some questions are irrelevant to the service you provide.  I have attached the form, if you could complete this and either email it back or pop it in the post I would appreciate it.

Hi guys,

I’m sorry it has taken so long to get this information to you but with a change of staff, handovers and settling in, I’m afraid it has all gotten a bit hectic over here!

Unfortunately we need to cancel the Bridal Show this coming Wednesday 1^st August as we simply do not have enough time to get it put together with all of the other weddings and events going on at the moment. We think it’s a brilliant idea and still intend to go ahead with it after Christmas, so watch this space!
